Michigan is continuing down the path of reopening the state, with  decline in the number of new cases and deaths again this week. Michigan is  “on track to contain the virus” – a designation it shares with only two other states, New York and New Jersey.  Progress  – but challenges such as safely re-opening schools, remain. Texas, Alabama and other states have seen cases and hospitalizations rise as they have gone down the reopening road.

COVID-19  presents a long, rocky road to navigate. For nearly 119,000 Americans, the COVID-19 road led to the unfortunate end of their lives. For many survivors of COVID-19, the virus has caused long-term damage.

This Weekend’s Reading will take you down a number of roads.  In It’s a Long, and Winding Road, read survivors’ stories and more about COVID-19’s devastating effects on the human body. Next, turn to The Expressway for some of the latest progress on vaccines,  treatments,  and a possible role for cows. Take time to check out Take Your Own Road which includes advice about bikes/biking and some important public bathroom safety advice – especially helpful if you opt for a road trip!  Consider having some rocky road ice cream as you explore the attached articles.

I hope you enjoy the articles!
