CVS Health Announces COVID-19 Measures Focused on Patient Access 1920 943 AEPC Health

CVS Health, the preferred Pharmacy Benefits Manager for AEPC’s prescription drug program, announced these COVID-19 related actions to assist all participating AEPC groups and their members. Additionally, most participating organizations in AEPC’s Pharmacy Benefits Plan have opted to implement relaxed refill restrictions for maintenance medications at any in-network pharmacy. Individuals can check with their health plan administrators to confirm the relaxed refill policy is in place at this time.

Making sure you have access to an adequate supply of your medications is our priority.

As the  COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic continues to evolve, we understand that you may  have questions or concerns. We are  closely monitoring the  situation, and because things are  rapidly changing, we want to keep you informed and update you promptly of any new  developments.

You have options for home delivery

With the  Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommending that people stay at home, especially those at high risk, we understand that you may  not want or be able to visit the  pharmacy to pick up your prescription medications. Home delivery is a good option to ensure you have the  medications you need.

Get 90-day supplies delivered by mail

As part of your prescription benefit plan,  you can have 90-day supplies of your maintenance medications delivered to your home, or any address you choose, with no-cost shipping. There are two easy ways to get  started:

OPTION 1: The best way to get  started is to call your doctor and ask  them to send a new  90-day prescription to CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy.

OPTION 2: Or, you can request a new  90-day prescription at Caremark.com.

Select Prescriptions from the  navigation bar.  From the  drop-down menu, select Request a New Prescription.

Search for your drug name and strength, add to your cart by selecting Request a NePrescription, and complete your order.

Be sure to register at Caremark.com so you can see the status of your order, track  your shipment and refill online.

Get free Rx home delivery from CVS Pharmacy

CVS Pharmacy is waiving charges for home delivery of prescription medications during the

COVID-19 pandemic. Visit CVS.com to set up free  Rx home delivery.

Ask your pharmacy about home delivery options

Many retail pharmacies are  offering home delivery service. Check with your pharmacy to find out if they  offer home delivery and whether there are  delivery fees.

Be prepared Refill on time so you don’t run out of medication

Check your current medication supply to make sure you have enough on hand. As always, we encourage you to refill your prescription on time.
